Cheers to the weekend! It’s finally Friday and 7:32 AM here in Georgia. My oldest is at school, probably heading to have breakfast at this time. My son and I are getting ready to head out for the day to do a little shopping, and get this momma bear her Starbucks fix. It’s been a minute. A long agonizing minute. Strong words, bringing it back. For those of you wondering what coffee I get: Large Iced Caramel Macchiato w/extra Caramel. Every single time. The blend is perfect, and I’m obsessed with caramel. I always wonder what everyone else gets from Starbucks, if it tastes good, if it’s worth the change. I’m dedicated to my drink, for sure.
For now, I’m excited for the weekend and for what’s to come. As much as I hate it, I’m the type of person who stays more on a positive note when I know there are fun adventures coming, personal uplifting change, something coming in the mail, etc. Which by the way, hasn’t arrived yet, bummer. Really, it could be the smallest of things. I guess you could say that gives me hope, and makes me feel anxious in a much better way.
After Starbucks triggered my coffee nerve yesterday, we know that is for sure first on today’s list. Not to mention, it’s about a twenty-five minute commute.
Today is the official last day of summer. Thank goodness for that. Fall is my favorite time of the year. The mountains here are beautiful, and the fall colors are amazing. Which has me considering on going to a little historic town nearby where they have tons of antique stores, and I LOVE antiques. Especially sales, and luckily, today is the kick-off of their antique fall sale. Time to stock up on some super cute farmhouse style pumpkins. I’ve seen the vendor’s pictures, and let’s just say that will most likely be our second stop.
Then it’s off to the store for groceries, necessities, and a toddler bed. Yep, we’re there. The last and final crib will be making its way out the door, and I’m honestly looking forward to it. At least until, I have one of those reminiscing moments, which I know will come. Let’s just go ahead and say Tuesday. Yeah, it’ll probably happen on Tuesday.
I know some of you are probably still thinking about my comment, personal uplifting change. Right? As a woman, we need these types of changes every now and then. Or at least I feel like I do, and I know most of you can relate. I wanted to do this last year but, unfortunately I wasn’t able to. So, for fall this year, I will be saying goodbye to my brassy brown hair. (I hate the word brassy, it just makes me cringe). What’s to come? Something dramatic, I can at least tell you that. Stay tuned, and cheers to the weekend!
