She’s southern, with a side of northern. Who knew?

The phrase “It’s been a week” has two meanings for the first part of this blog. It’s been a week since I wrote my very first blog. It’s been a great, uplifting, and positive experience so far.

& it’s also just been one of those weeks in reality.

It’s almost Friday, and it’s only 12:49 PM here in Georgia but I’m already sipping on some sweet, sweet wine and relaxing in a bubble filled tub with tea light candles all around me. I collect candles, but I’m cheap. What can I say? Regarding the wine: it’s five o’clock somewhere, so let’s just stick with that. My gosh, y’all are getting the southern side of me, more and more every day.

I was born and raised here. So I have somewhat of a “southern accent“. However, my dad was born in Michigan as well as his family. So on occasion, I have a northern tone to a few of my words. All around, I’m really just a southern girl trying to make something of herself, bettering myself for me, and my family.

I actually own a crossbow and have been hunting a few times with my husband, and I really enjoy that. It’s peaceful being out there in this gorgeous colorful thing we call, nature. Honestly, I was never against him hunting in any way whatsoever, but I could never see myself doing it.

Well, his charming self bought me a crossbow a few years ago for Christmas after we had discussed me not using a gun or a compound bow. I’m not against guns in anyway, as I see them as protection when needed. Nowadays, you never know who is going to approach you, or come to your door, etc. I love my crossbow, and have a pretty straight shot I must say. At a target at least.

I know there will be some who read this blog, and possibly think differently of me because they have different beliefs and live different lifestyles. Just know, that I would never think differently of you because we are all unique, and that’s what makes us special.

That’s what makes the world so amazing, it would be boring if we were all the same.

Happy Friday-Eve, once again!

Much love – raising.arrowsx2 CL
