First let me start off by saying it’s Tuesday. If you’re confused, you should read my previous blogs. Tuesday’s are usually my worst anxiety days. I’m not sure why, but they are. I always tend to let my anxiety lead the way, but today I’m trying something new. Also, I want to clarify that this is going to be somewhat a different type of blog than I have written previously. Enjoy.
I got up, got my daughter ready for school, made my husband some lunch for work, and now I am taking a hot bath to get ready for the day at 7:00 a.m. while listening to my motivational choice of music. In case you’re wondering, it’s almost always the “Dirty Dancing” soundtrack. I could listen to that soundtrack all day.
Today I’m going to clean house, have play time with my son, and continue on personal growth, self love, and not give up. Tuesday can suck it. – Sorry not sorry. If you only knew how Tuesday’s are my worst days.
Now the song, “Big Girls Don’t Cry” has started. The irony. I’ll sing along.
So we carved our pumpkin last night with our kids, and we truly enjoyed it. I swear I think my daughter could bathe in pumpkin guts. My son on the other hand, cannot stand the texture. I guess he gets that from me. We also made our cake pops. Well, I told you all that I am not a baker. My husband and daughter made them. I helped in the end, though. I have to give him credit, the man can cook. I will be sharing photos of those later today on my Instagram.
This is our carved pumpkin, and where the title of this blog comes from! We are also super big fans of the show, “This Is Us“.
A special shoutout to Bonding Bees on Instagram for having this neat Halloween themed bonding box that was filled with so many different things to help you bond as a couple, husband and wife, or family. This box is mainly for couples or marriages, obviously. However, we took a different route with it. Inside the box, there is an agenda, which we have somewhat done in order. My husband and I did a few things together, which you can see in my highlight cover on Instagram labeled “Hubby“. We have also spread these activities out, and we’ve had something to do just about every single day. This box has helped us bond as husband and wife, and also with our kids. We have truly enjoyed it! For the final to-do from the box is our couples Halloween costume, which I am thrilled about! I can’t wait to get dressed up, and attempt to pull off these looks that we are going for. It’s definitely going to be exciting, and I will for sure be stepping out of my comfort zone. I’m excited to see what their next bonding box theme is! Be sure to go and check them out on Instagram @bondingbees. You will love it! Thank you again Bonding Bees for this awesome experience and helping us bond as a family!
Below is a picture of our super cute bonding box and the items inside! If you’d like to see the full unboxing, message me, and I’ll direct you there.
I must say, I’m excited to step out of my comfort zone. I think the idea of our costumes and the fact that my husband is just as excited as I am, possibly more, makes it even better.
On that note, this is just another Tuesday that I will get through. Be sure to follow my Instagram if you haven’t, and stay tuned for the costume reveal!
