Where is the love?

No seriously. Where is the love? I’m going to take y’all way back to 2003. I’m not saying the world was in a better place by any means during that time, because let’s be real, it definitely was not. Two years prior, in September of 2001, the world stopped turning when one of the biggest cities in the United States was attacked. Listening to one of The Black Eyed Peas most popular songs, Where is the Love, really hits home and has meaning for a lot of different things in life.

In the present day, there is so much hate, drama, and bullying happening not only in reality but on social media as well.

Social media can sometimes be just as bad, or worse.

If you really listen to the lyrics of Where is the Love, what do you hear? The beat, an instrument, or the actual words? Focus on the LYRICS, and the meaning behind them.

“And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you’re bound to get irate
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that’s exactly how hate works and operates
Man, we gotta set it straight
Take control of your mind and just meditate
And let your soul just gravitate
To the love, so the whole world celebrate it

Why spend all of your time and energy spreading hate and putting others down? We are all here to do the same things in life. I see so many moms tearing at each other for their differences and beliefs. Just because we are all different, doesn’t mean we can’t support each other and understand the difference. Be a friend. If we were all the same, this world would be such a boring place.

It takes more energy to spread hate. Use your energy for the good things in life.

There are bigger things happening in the world and to be someone that adds drama to the chaos when it isn’t necessary, is beyond me.

Where is the love? Are we really creating this huge divided era where we just hate people we don’t even really know? Is this what we are raising our kids to believe in? This world has become full of hate, when we need to be supportive of each other. Be supportive of the working moms, the stay at home moms, the working from home moms just trying to make it and survive, the moms that are trying to get through one normal day with their kids, the moms who have it somewhat together, the single moms who do it alone, be supportive of everyone. Don’t spread hate, spread love. Be kind to one another. We ALL have 1 life, 1 world, 1 chance to make this thing called “life” the best that we can. Don’t spend your time and energy hating someone else just because they are different or because they chose a different path than you.

DO NOT ENVY OTHERS!

DO NOT BE JEALOUS OF THE THINGS SOMEONE ELSE HAS THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE. Be happy and feel blessed for what you do have, because it could be taken away at any given time. Do your own thing, push forward, and make things happen for YOURSELF.

Be the light and lead others to the love that this world needs. Be the good. Do good things. Help others if and when you are able.

DO NOT TAKE HELPING OTHERS FOR GRANTED, BECAUSE SPREADING LOVE, KINDNESS, & DOING GOOD THINGS – WILL ALWAYS FIND ITS WAY BACK TO YOU.

Be yourself. Do not let other people dim your light. Focus on the positive things in life, and keep the love going.

If this blog helped you in any way, share it. Share the love. Do your part and share your light with others in the world to find the love again.
